- Explore the importance of studying Antarctica and the career opportunities related to polar research
- Learn about the work of the British Antarctic Survey to address issues of global importance and help society adapt to a changing world
Lesson Outline
Children will have the opportunity to find out about the unique environment there, how it is changing and why it is important that we study this biome. We will also learn about the facilities at the station and the challenges that are faced in trying to modernise it without impacting upon this special environment.
