Join us beneath the River Thames as we follow the journey of waste, the processes involved in treating it and why river health is important for us all. We will take you into the giant new Super Sewer as well as hearing how London's sewers have been around since the Victorian era!

Lesson Outline

We will be joined by scientists and engineers who will tell us all about the brand new Super Sewer beneath the River Thames, as well as what we learn from their research.
During our time in London, teaching will be put into a real-life context through exciting demos, recordings and animated infographics.
The lesson itself will follow our presenter Sally-Ann Spence, as she discovers why river health is so important, visiting key locations throughout the lesson, and asking the children questions throughout!

Questions And Answers

Some of the expert speakers from the lesson will join us at the end for a 10 minute panel to answer your students’ questions LIVE.
