Hosted by children's television and education presenter Naomi Wilkinson alongside Chester Zoo's education expert Jess Neale, students will meet zoo staff working to protect wildlife across the zoo estate and beyond. They’ll explore familiar UK species and uncover the challenges they face in a rapidly changing environment, from habitat loss to climate change.
Students will also hear from the team at the National Marine Aquarium, discovering the importance of the rich and diverse wildlife found in our UK seas.
Learning Objectives
- Explore a wide range of native UK species, from countryside to coast.
- Learn about the habitats and ecosystems these species rely on to survive.
- Discover how small changes to gardens and local green spaces can make a big difference for wildlife.
Q&A
We will have experts from the zoo answering your questions via our interactive app Slido during the live lesson and our presenter will be answering some chosen questions live in the Q&A at the end of the live lesson!
You can find the links to Slido here on this page and it will also be embedded to the side of the live stream window.
